Perspective

Experience from both sides of the table.

Hourea's career has moved between operating inside companies, building businesses, advising founders and investing in them. She built three businesses before turning 30 and has worked across more than 50 brands spanning fashion, media and technology. Today, she invests as an angel and hosts Oh! She Can Drive, where she sits down with founders and leaders to explore what actually happens behind the headline.

That combination gives her a perspective that moves between the practical and the personal: how things get built, the decisions behind them, and the questions around ambition, confidence, money and reinvention that rarely make the headline.

Her conversations combine lived experience with the patterns she has observed across businesses, industries and the people building them.

Conversations

What we can talk about.

Every engagement starts with the audience. These are some of the ideas Hourea explores through her work, and the starting points for conversations that can be shaped around your community, context and objectives.

The people around us, the experience we've accumulated, the questions we ask and the perspectives we seek can become some of our most valuable resources. This conversation explores how to build your own playbook: seeking out people who challenge your thinking, asking better questions, using your network more intentionally, creating access and learning when to trust someone else's experience, and when to trust your own.

  • Taking action

A conversation about our relationship with money, and what happens when we move beyond earning it to understanding how to invest it, deploy it and use it to create ownership. Drawing on Hourea's experience with money, building businesses and becoming an angel investor, this conversation explores the beliefs that shape our financial decisions alongside the practical realities of investing and early-stage capital. From understanding why women have historically invested less, to what angel investors actually look for and how to start thinking like an investor.

Through conversations with founders and leaders, alongside her own experience building and investing, Hourea has become fascinated by the part of success we rarely see. The decisions made without certainty. The experiments that don't work. The people someone calls when they're stuck. The confidence built after taking action rather than before it. This conversation explores the behaviours, decisions and less-visible moves behind building something ambitious, and what we can learn from them.

Hourea's career has moved through corporate roles, entrepreneurship, operating, investing and media, but each chapter has built on the one before it. This conversation explores career capital: how to recognise the skills, relationships, knowledge and pattern recognition you've already accumulated, and use them when navigating what's next. Not a conversation about leaving corporate life. A conversation about recognising what your career has already given you, whether you use it to build something of your own or become more entrepreneurial within the organisation you're already in.

The approach

The topic is the starting point. Your community's needs shape the rest.

No two rooms are the same. The most valuable session is one that reflects the people in it: what they're navigating, what matters to them and what you want them to walk away with. Each engagement is developed in collaboration with your team, using the themes above as a starting point and tailoring the conversation to your audience, objectives and context.

Depending on the engagement, this can include:

01

Understand

Understand the audience, context and objectives before the event.

02

Tailor

Build a bespoke flow around what matters to your room.

03

Engage

Use frameworks, participation and Q&A to make ideas land.

04

Continue

Provide follow-up resources so the conversation keeps living.

The goal isn't simply to deliver a good talk. It's to create a conversation your audience can actually use.

Formats

Different rooms call for different conversations.

Keynotes

A focused talk built around one central idea and tailored to the audience and event.

Fireside conversations

Candid, conversational discussions allowing for greater depth, storytelling and audience questions.

Workshops

Interactive sessions designed to move from ideas into practical application.

Panels & moderation

Thoughtful conversations designed to bring out interesting ideas and perspectives rather than simply move through a list of questions.
